Synopsis
Wanting to stay in the attractive and ancient market town of Wallingford, in Oxfordshire, Jo Beavan and her husband Simon felt thwarted at every turn when they tried to buy a bigger house back in 2000. ‘Things don’t come onto the market very often, and we adored our two bedroomed Medieval house where we’d lived for six years, but it was just too small once Maisie, now 17, came along, and we knew we wanted another child, so we started looking.’
