Synopsis
Jo Banks would not have given her 1960s property a second glance had it not been for the garden. ‘The house itself was unremarkable, but when I saw the size of the garden I couldn’t believe my luck,’ says Jo, a horticulturalist. ‘Gardens of this size, in this kind of location, are like gold dust. I wouldn’t get another chance like this. The house was uninspiring but I could see how to make it homely and modern.’
