Gemma Robinson Kitchen

Moving out to the Surrey countryside really helped Gemma Robinson realise that painted wooden units and marbled granite were just right for the space.

Synopsis
Gemma Robinson, 37, a journalist, and her husband Marcus, 42, a project manager, knew they were taking on a total renovation when they bought their three bedroomed Edwardian house in the Surrey village of Peasmarsh nearly 18 months ago. ‘The tiny kitchen had virtually no units and just wasn’t the way anyone lived now, while the large dining room next door was bright blue and hadn’t seen a paintbrush for years. It was all from a previous era and I don’t think anything had been done for probably 50 years.’
