Synopsis
There’s nothing more romantic an image than that of a bridegroom carrying his new bride over the threshold of their first home. When this particular happy couple, Christine and Charles Taylor, copied the gesture, they had spent the previous two years re-building the property, doing most of the dirty work themselves. So their sense of achievement and pride on their wedding day was enormous. ‘Charles carried me through the door 25 years ago this year and the pink room was our honeymoon bedroom,’ says Christine.
