NO UK - Designer Carolyn Minty's pretty 17th century Cotswold cottage needed major renovations before she and her husband Peter could move in. The stone floor flags were damp as the floor lay below outside ground level and when it rained, water trickled in. Peter ingeniously ‘inserted a filet of cement between the outside tarmac and the inner wall to prevent water from draining in, followed by a water resistant plaster on the inside’.
