Synopsis
When two artists go house hunting, they are usually looking for more than a simple roof over their heads. Caro Woods and David Parsonage each had a house in Cornwall and, as their respective children were grown up, they were planning to combine resources in a new venture. Caro is a painter known for mixed media abstracts that explore the hidden structures of landscape. David is a painter and potter who also works in wood. Besides needing a studio for their own work, and the art courses and events Caro runs, the couple were also hoping to find a house where they could combine their art with a bed and breakfast venture. Caro had run a B & B once before and loved it. “The house had to be off the main road as well,” adds Caro, “to be safe for our dogs and cat.”
