Synopsis
|
The large studio was designed in 1902 in the art nouveau style by the celebrated Brussels architect Ernest Blerot for artist and painter Louise De Hem. After her, the building housed other painters and even a dancing school, however the place has always remained dedicated to the arts.
Elena wanted to preserve as much of the original features as possible… doors, stairs and granite floors. She has re-used many of the original features, even putting them in different places throughout the building. 'I love the idea of making a collaboration between the different eras'.
She has created a decor where the works of art and accessories mix with vintage furniture, respecting the soul of the place.
