Synopsis
Gulls circling over sparkling waves dancing in the sun, washing over sand and warmed by a gentle, salty breeze, add up to an idea of heaven which most people would love to enjoy on a daily basis, and for Mary-Anne and Rory Curran, this style of heaven has become a reality. “We first rented a holiday house in West Wittering in 2008” Mary-Anne recalls, “and immediately fell in love with it. Just on the off chance, we distributed Are-You-Wanting-To-Sell mail shots through the letter boxes of all the houses along the seashore and hoped and prayed for a positive response.”
One came in the form of a letter from an engineer who just happened to be thinking about retiring to a smaller house at that time. It was a chance of a life time for the Currans, but obviously meant to be, because from the start to finish the project went through without a hiccup, mostly due to the talents and hard work of Jez Lye, the local independent builder who came to their rescue.
