At Christmas time, Sam brings out a bag of fairy lights and picks pine branches to intertwine with lights. “I love rows of candles and I also collect heart shaped decorations of course. Heart shapes are my hall mark. Lots of my paintings are patterns built up on heart shapes.
As a dominant colour scheme at Christmas, I love silver and white but I can not help adding colours. It is probably the artist in me.” Sam’s Christmas table is based on green and white checked plates with crystal beaded napkin rings. The wreath on the front door is, of course a heart shape woven from twigs and berries by Sam.
