Bo and Edward have restored a former coach house and stables and converted it into a comfortable home.
In 1900, a Psychiatric Institution was installed in the picturesque village of Limburg. The domain of the castle there had a little hospital with work places for the patients. they could learn tailoring and cabinet making, and there was a separate quarter for the criminally insane. The patients have gone now and the different buildings are renovated and reorganised into apartments and houses. One of the most charming buildings is this coach house with stables, build in 1905, where Bo and her friend Edward have made their home.
“The façade is protected, that’s why the building license was a little slower than normal,” says Bo. “We started the renovations in 2007. The façade was repaired into its original state, but for the rest, only the four walls and the wooden level of the first floor are authentic.”
