They were half way through the project and the old kitchen had been gutted and the underfloor heating was already in but they were not feeling at all confident about the kitchen their builder was about to install. ‘I was really concerned that it wasn’t going to fit and he said to me, “don’t worry we’ll make it fit.” Says Jane. ‘We suddenly panicked and we realized we could be without a kitchen for quite some time.
Jane knew she had to get an expert opinion before it was too late and called Alison and Martin Rowe of The Cupboard Store. ‘Martin came round one Tuesday night; the kitchen was completely gutted so he didn’t see it as it was before. Almost overnight he had come to our rescue and designed a kitchen with a proper plan that worked,’ says Jane. ‘He and Alison listened to what we wanted and when they told me their ideas I said yes, yes, yes! This could have been a corridor but now the space flows very well.’
