Synopsis
As an interior designer, Annie Friend believes that the interior of a house should reflect the personalities of the people living within it and be a visual expression of ones individual style. “I always feel you should be able to walk into a home and really feel the sense of the people who live there,” she says.
When Annie first came to look at her flat, she got an impression of the decor being; ‘Very masculine’. “ The bathroom was dominated by an oversized bath and the styling was functional without much colour”
The style was safe and neutral but that allowed Annie to appreciate the remarkable features: soaring ceilings, elegant niches, and giant windows gazing out upon ‘one of the biggest private gardens in this part of south west London’.
